Capella Education Company Announces Promotions
Minneapolis (PRWEB) March 14, 2008 -- Capella Education Company (http://www.capellaeducation.com) (NASDAQ: CPLA), a provider of exclusively online post-secondary education through its wholly owned subsidiary Capella University (http://www.capella.edu), promoted three executives to senior vice president and vice president positions. Scott Henkel was promoted to senior vice president, operations and CIO, a position he previously held on an interim basis. In addition, Brad Frank was promoted from director of marketing to vice president of marketing, and Anne Core advanced from director of application development and architecture to vice president of information technology.

Scott Henkel joined Capella in 2004 and has served as chief information officer since that time. In 2007, he also assumed the role of interim senior vice president, operations, before being appointed to the position of SVP Operations and CIO. Prior to joining Capella, Henkel was chief information officer and vice president of software engineering at Datacard Group. Henkel earned a Bachelor of Arts from Metropolitan State University and a Master of Business Administration in finance from the University of St. Thomas.
Brad Frank was Capella's director of marketing from 2005 until his recent appointment to vice president of marketing. He came to Capella from The Boston Beer Company, where he worked as senior brand manager and then director of marketing from 2001-2005. Frank previously held marketing positions at Proctor and Gamble. He received his Bachelor of Arts in economics from Tufts University and his Master of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management.
Anne Core joined Capella in 2004 as the director of application development and architecture, before advancing to her new position as vice president of internet technology. From 2001 to 2003 she served as director of information technology at Datacard Group. Core holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Lake Superior State University and a Master of Business Administration from National University.
