Energy Personnel May Now Earn Continuing Education Units at EnergyU

Eagan, MN (PRWEB) February 19, 2008 -- Midwest ENERGY Association (MEA) announces that they have been approved as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET), 8405 Greensboro Drive, Suite 800, McLean, VA 22102. In obtaining this approval, MEA has demonstrated that it complies with the ANSI/IACET Standards which are widely recognized as standards of good practice internationally. As a result of their Authorized Provider membership status, MEA is authorized to offer IACET CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standards.

With this authorization, users of MEA's online learning, www.energyu.org, are now eligible to earn Continuing Education Units. Almost all of MEA's courses qualify at www.energyu.org. Current subscribers who have completed both a training course and it's corresponding knowledge test from January 1, 2007 forward may apply for CEUs. For more information regarding the application process, contact Dianne Felty at 651-289-9600 x131.

The International Association for Continuing Education and Training is a non-profit association dedicated to quality continuing education and training programs. IACET certifies education providers that meet strict continuing education guidelines originally created in 1968 and recently updated by the IACET Council for Standards Development (ICSD). IACET certification is the standard learners seek for quality when they choose a provider. IACET's Criteria and Guidelines (now, "ANSI/IACET Standards") are the core of quality educational programs worldwide.

MEA has served the energy industry for over 100 years. MEA and its members' experience has made EnergyU the most comprehensive e-learning resource for the industry. Delivering effective energy specific multi-media learning furthers MEA's reputation as one of the leading energy service organizations in the nation.
