New High School Basketball Player Rankings from Takkle.com and Sports Illustrated Spotlight Top-25 Players in the Country

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 8, 2008 -- TAKKLE, Inc. (www.takkle.com), the premier online social network for high school sports, in partnership with Sports Illustrated, today announced the new Sports Illustrated TAKKLE Top 25 High School Basketball Player Rankings.

With players getting ready to lace up their sneakers in high school gymnasiums across the country, TAKKLE and Sports Illustrated have been busy picking the top players nationwide using a ranking system powered by Five Star Basketball, a leader in high school basketball player evaluation for over 43 years. The new interactive rankings (www.takkle.com/rankings) will be updated every two weeks and will include in-depth video and photo content for each player.

The SI-TAKKLE Top 25 follows the successful launch of the TAKKLE Top 100 Football Rankings, a partnership with Sports Illustrated as well. SI and TAKKLE introduced the football rankings in October of 2007 as TAKKLE's first-ever interactive online ranking application.

"The launching of our basketball rankings is the next step of our continued efforts to provide the TAKKLE community with the opportunity to share their opinions on the best players in the country," said David Birnbaum, CEO and co-founder of TAKKLE.

TAKKLE users can also vote for which players they think are overrated or underrated, as well as check out the profile pages of players on the list, and post comments. Users can also post comments on the rankings home page to let them know if they think they missed somebody.
