Institute of Spa Management Announces Open Enrollment for January 2008 Distance Education Program

Brooklyn, NY (PRWEB) October 8, 2007 -- As discussed at the Global Spa Summit held this past May in New York, there is a severe shortage of qualified, educated spa managers. This concern has certainly been confirmed by the fast and steady level of student enrollment in the Spa Management Program at the Institute of Spa Management.

Since August, ISM has received more than 2,000 requests for course information. October and November 2007 programs filled to capacity in less than 60 days. Currently, the Institute of Spa Management (www.SpaCollege.org) reports that a few spaces remain for December 2007 intake with open enrollment for January 2008.

Despite the apparent high demand, ISM remains dedicated to catering to small groups of spa professionals in a caring and customized learning environment. Abby Cavanaugh, Director of Admissions and Student Services, "We offer intake for new students on the 3rd Monday of each month. This allows us to bring together groups of students that are learning at a similar pace and it helps to build their link to learning which is extremely important to help students 'stick with it'. Our goal is to provide a highly personalized and direct learning experience, even though it is distance learning, and therefore we limit monthly intake to just 20 students. The ISM philosophy is to teach programs and courses in the same manner and with the same high level of services that our students will be expected to emulate once they become successful spa managers."

At the Institute of Spa Management, the organization's primary goal is to further the spa industry through quality management education and professional training for adults. Information about programs and courses offered via distance education is available by visiting http://www.spacollege.org

These necessary elements for spa success can only occur when quality education is the premise for spa managers.

Online Education For Your Future
Many traditional colleges and universities are now offering online courses, which are the exact same as those taught on campus, to distance learners. Online education is generally taught in one of several ways, including satellite feeds via the internet, correspondence or online reading lessons. This approach allows students to obtain a degree without ever setting foot into the classroom. An online education, assuming that it is from a regionally accredited college or university, is widely accepted as suitable training for any job in the related field of study.

The Golf Academy Of Arizona, An Sdga Golf School, Hits A Hole In One With Its New And Improved Campus
?FORE!? It?s a common cry from green pastures throughout the United States. Perhaps kicked off by the introduction of Tiger Woods to the pro circuit in 1996, the nation?s interest in golf has catapulted in recent years. Men and women, young and old, black and white, it seems these days that everyone is gearing up for a swing at the tee, or some sort of crack at the industry. But with little or no experience, many people are finding their dreams of a PGA Championship (or LPGA Championship for that matter) stymied.
