Five-Part College Financial Aid Series Guides Students Through the Labyrinth of College Financing Options
Seattle, WA (PRWEB) August 1, 2007 -- The United States Senate passed a bill last week that, among other things, would increase Pell Grant awards up to $5,400 by 2011. With this kind of national attention being paid to financial aid, it's not surprising that students are beginning to ask more questions about funding their college education.
All Allied Health Schools is responding by launching a comprehensive online guide to financial aid. The online guide gives students a concise breakdown of various college financial aid and scholarship options. The financial aid guide can be found at http://www.AllAlliedHealthSchools.com/faqs/financial-aid-overview.php
The financial aid guide will be delivered in five sections on a bi-weekly basis. The first installment, Loans (http://www.allalliedhealthschools.com/faqs/financial-aid-loans.php), covers the various types of student loans available, including federal loans like Stafford Loans, Perkins Loans and PLUS loans. It also breaks down the basics of applying for private student loans with key information on interest rates and payment schedules.
Grants, scheduled for release August 2, 2007, will cover the application process for major grants and awards, including federal Pell Grants, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, Academic Competitiveness Grants, and institutional and merit-based grants.
"It is our goal to make the financial aid process more accessible to all college students. We have hundreds of health care schools listed on AllAlliedHealthSchools.com, and we would be remiss in not offering a trusted guide to financing your college education. In order to help people really make the best decision about their education, we were compelled to create this financial aid guide to answer questions from prospective students," said Dennis Green, Product Manager for All Allied Health Schools.
Installments to the financial aid guide will be delivered every two weeks. Rounding out the series will be articles on scholarships for health care students and the benefits of work-study programs. Additionally, prospective students are provided with links to specific agency pages for each topic, taking the guesswork out of routing through enormous and confusing government websites. Students can check back every two weeks on All Allied Health Schools to view the latest information on financial aid, loans and scholarships.
