International Sponsor Council Exploring Boston Incident for Industry Education
Atlanta, GA (PRWeb) February 14, 2007 -- International Sponsor Council (ISC), the world trade association for corporate sponsors, announced it is focusing on the recent marketing incident in Boston involving Turner Broadcasting System's Cartoon Network to provide education to the industry on risk avoidance.
"The ISC is always concerned about marketing programs that could be detrimental to sponsors. Even though a sponsor wasn't involved in the Boston incident, there are still many details about the incident we would like to answered so that we may provide avoidance education to our industry," said Terry Cecil, ISC President & CEO. "As the demand for creative ways for brands to engage the consumer increases, marketing campaigns that do involve sponsors need to follow procedural compliance and have a very good understanding of how to negate any detrimental exposure for sponsors. The ISC has had discussions with the office of the Massachusetts Attorney General to gather details on the incident."
