Getting to the Top Jointly Offered by Stanford Graduate School of Business and UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2007
Stanford, CA (PRWeb) January 26, 2007 -- For mid-career MBA alumni seeking advice on advancing in their careers, the successful career development series called "Getting to the Top" provides senior executives first hand advice, experiences and mentoring to help guide the way.

The first program, "Getting to the Top from Consulting" is planned for January 30, 2007 in Northern California and February 8, 2007 in Southern California. This program will explore how senior executives successfully made the switch from consulting to senior roles in industry as well as starting their own boutique consulting firms.

"The attendees at the 2006 'Getting to the Top' career development programs have appreciated the insight and experiences shared by senior executive panelists," said Mercy Eyadiel, Director, Stanford Graduate School of Business Alumni Career Services. "Alumni in transition often ask how they can reach the next level in their career or enter a new field. The programs in 2007 will definitely answer how to transition from consulting, into venture capital, or to top executive positions."
"As a headhunter interviewing senior executives, I learn the skills and experiences exhibited by 'A' talent. Through the Getting to the Top program, successful executives are able to share their advice with others aspiring to senior roles," shared Kathy Ullrich, executive recruiter with Silicon Valley search firm Kathryn Ullrich Associates, Inc.
"UCLA Anderson School of Management and Stanford GSB are jointly presenting the 'Getting to the Top' series in Northern and Southern California to reach more of our alumni base. Outside the LA area, Northern California has the largest population of UCLA Anderson alumni, and vice versa for Stanford GSB", stated Susan Dearing, Director of EMBA Career and Leadership Development at UCLA Anderson School of Management. "By working together, alumni from both schools can attend career advancement programs close to home."
"Getting to the Top from Consulting" will take place Tuesday, January 30th, at Stanford GSB, Bishop Auditorium and Thursday, February 8th at California Yacht Club in Marina Del Rey. Both programs are at 6:00 pm for networking, 7:00 pm for the program. Please visit http://www.ullrichassociates.com/career_series.html for registration and details of programs.
The "Getting to the Top" seminar events were created for those seeking their own training and mentorship to reach the next career level for mid-career MBA alumni. Previous "Getting to the Top" seminars have included senior executives from companies such as Adobe, Business Objects, Cisco, Clorox, eBay, Hewlett-Packard, P&G, Symantec, Twentieth Century Fox and others.
