PDXLoan.com Offers Free 2007 Calendar to Washington & Oregon Residents That Benefits Breast Cancer Awareness, Research and Education

Portland, OR (PRWeb) January 26, 2007 -- PDXLoan.com, a mortgage information website for mortgage consultant Ed Bisquera, offers free to the public a 2007 calendar that promotes breast cancer awareness.

Each calendar given away will result in a donation made to fund research and promote awareness. Approximately $.50 will be donated per calendar and with an estimated total of 2500 available up to $1250 will be generated for breast cancer research and awareness campaigns.

"By requesting a free calendar, we will be able to raise funds to promote awareness and education to breast cancer. Statistics have shown that we are all touched by cancer in some way and that breast cancer is one of the top cancers affecting the population, " says Bisquera. "A close family friend was diagnosed with breast cancer several years ago and fortunately she survived it through early detection and treatment. But an Aunt of mine did not; she was diagnosed with it early in 2005, but too late for anything to be done and died shortly thereafter. It's a cancer that can take away mothers, wives, daughters and increasing education awareness and research is a way, I believe, in diagnosing this disease early and eradicating it completely."

With only 2500 available, the public is encouraged to visit the website and request a calendar as soon as possible before they run out to help promote awareness.

"Help promote awareness for breast cancer education and for continued research by getting your calendar today, " adds Bisquera. "I know I'm just one person and the amount raised may be insignifcant, but I believe in greater numbers we can help get the word out and each little part we do can add up to a bigger fight against breast cancer."

The Facts About College Financial Aid
Most American families are offsetting the high cost of college by applying for some degree of financial aid by submitting their FAFSA (Free Application For Federal Student Aid) on or after January 2nd. Unfortunately, this is not a simple process as the college financial aid system is anything but user-friendly.

Education IRAs and Other IRA Accounts
Most high school graduates are pretty much on their own when it comes to furthering their education, since parents are not able to help due to the increased cost of living throughout the United States. This was usually the case until just recently, when many different programs were developed for aspiring college students to make their dreams come true. Because not all students qualify for financial aid and other programs, they are left to cover the entire cost of their education, including books, lab fees, and living costs.
