National Aesthetics Institute Now Part of International Academy, College of Hair & Aesthetics in Tempe

Tempe, AZ (PRWeb) January 29, 2007 -- Students can learn about beauty from head-to-toe under one roof now that the first and largest Aesthetics school in Arizona has joined ranks with the International Academy of Hair to become the International Academy, College of Hair & Aesthetics, 4812 S. Mill Ave. in Tempe.

The former National Aesthetics Institute in Scottsdale has been acquired by the International Academy of Hair Design and moved to the second story of a $2 million, state-of-the-art facility. In addition to the latest in technology such as the FDA-approved, Refina Derm microdermabrasion machine that is specially designed to use baking soda, rather than aluminum oxide crystals, the college offers the most comprehensive training in chemical peels and microdermabrasion in the state.

"The Aesthetics field is the fastest-growing industry next to information technology," said Jessica Wolman, one of the owners of International Academy, College of Hair & Aesthetics. "Baby Boomers now make up 31% of the population, they are all aging and looking for services to help them maintain their beauty and health."
The Aesthetics school is located on the second floor of the 14,000 ultra-modern, institute. The 7,000 square foot upper floor includes spacious classrooms for theory and practical training, a separate classroom for advanced training, a clinic laboratory, a well-equipped student's lounge, as well as a library of texts, publications, curricula, audio-visual equipment and aids, and industry-related journals.

Each classroom has a flat screen television with detailed power-point presentations to ensure quality and consistency. Students also receive hands-on training, however they do not work on clients until the final phase of their education (starting on the 16th week of the 20-week program).

"Our success rate is superb, with over 95% of our students passing their state board on their first try," said Wolman. "We have some of the finest instructors in the country, a long-history of excellence, and now a state-of-the-art facility. There is no better time or place to pursue Aesthetics as a career choice."

The Aesthetics school also offers an instructor course outline for those who want to teach that consists of a 500-hour program that trains the student in the basic teaching skills, educational judgments, proper work habits, and desirable attitudes necessary to pass the State Board examination and for competency in job entry level employment as an instructor or related career avenue.
